Modesto, CA: Two Vehicles Collide Highway 132(Maze Boulevard) and Stone Avenue; Fatality Reported

Modesto, California (January 19, 2017) – One person died in an early Thursday morning two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Modesto, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The fatal crash took place at about 5:33 a.m. today between a Mercedes-Benz and a gray Ford F150 at the intersection of State Route 132 and Stone Avenue.

Police responded to the scene and found one party pinned inside a vehicle. They also confirmed that at least one person was killed in the accident.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.

The police shut down SR 132 between Stone and Dakota as they gathered evidence at the scene, but the highway has since reopened.

The incident remained under investigation.
